House/Anderson Route, Mt. Alberta - Uisdean Hawthorn and Tom Livingstone

In September 2016, Uisdean and I made the third ascent of the Steve House/Vince Anderson route on the north face of Mt. Alberta, in the Canadian Rockies.

This was a special route - one that we’d wanted to climb for two years - and luckily, our ascent went (relatively) smoothly. We were very psyched to have pulled it off (as you can tell at the end of the video). Big names, big numbers and big Canadian wilderness added to the intimidation of the place.

Thanks to Matt Pycroft at Coldhouse Collective and Mountain Equipment for putting the video together. As you can tell, we didn’t film much, and we mostly got footage of the amazing cave bivy. Oh well, next time!
